Below is some of the software we use for our HAM radio computer (The only PC that's not a vintage computer that we have Windows on.):
EchoLink® - This software allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using streaming-audio technology. The program allows worldwide connections to be made between stations, or from computer to station, greatly enhancing Amateur Radio's communications capabilities. There are more than 350,000 validated users worldwide — in 159 of the world's 193 nations — with about 6,000 online at any given time.
RT Systems Programming Software - This software makes programming and backing up your settings on any of your radios simple and fast.
Ham Radio Deluxe - Really great software to control your radios, log your contacts, etc. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I have barely used it since getting it setup. I just use QRZ to log my QSOs and to me it seems easier to just control the radio from the radio. Perhaps, if my radio needed to be further from the computer I would use HRD more but I just don't see the point with how things are currently setup.
Winlink Global Radio Email®️... is a network of amateur radio and authorized government stations that provide worldwide radio email using radio pathways where the internet is not present. The system is built, operated and administered entirely by licensed "Ham" volunteers. It supports email with attachments, position reporting, weather and information bulletins, and is well-known for its role in interoperable emergency and disaster relief communications. It is capable of operating completely without the internet--automatically--using smart-network radio relays. Licensed Winlink operators/stations use both amateur radio and government radio frequencies worldwide. Support for the system is provided by the Amateur Radio Safety Foundation, Inc., a US 501(c)(3) non-profit, public-benefit entity. Winlink Global Radio Email®️ is a US registered trademark of the Amateur Radio Safety Foundation, Inc.
WSJT-X - Software used for weak signal communication. Supported modes are JT65, JT9, Echo, JT4, MSK144, Q65, FT8, FT4, FST4, FST4W, WSPR. Primarily for use at LF, MF, HF, VHF, UHF, and microwave.
